It's totally natural for any type of snake to hide that much. They are very secrative animals all of their lives, but moreso at a young age simply because that would be their defense against predators in thw wild. It probably comes out at night time. My 9 month old is in her hides all day sleeping, then at night she looks around for about 3 or 4 hours then goes back into one of her hides.
