Kings are usually such great feeders, that he shouldn't have a problem. Although if he does (unlikely) you could try feeding him a freshly killed mouse. It's still warm and kinda twitchy so maybe that would help. After feeding freshly killed mice for a couple of times, then switch to frozen and try that.
