I agree w/ you on the foto per se...but....a Georgia guardian out of the far SE...is always significant...me thinks!
I recommend you calculate the Lat./Long. Coordinates for your sighting, plot it on a decent resolution map (ideally a 1: 24000 [7.5'] scale) & forward a copy of said data & a hardcopy to the Georgia DNR: "non-game wildlife section/Herptiles".
If those personnel express surprise at your find, you should consider publishing a note in Herp. Review.
Our own Dean A. is tied into the Georgia Guardian Gang & can undoubtedly forward your info to the folks that ought to know about your observation in detail.
Thnx for taking the time to post it, C&B; JG

Cyberscripts;
DA thnx for the recent info. I'd say the disease risk issue makes using anything from captive stock a no-brainer = non-starter. Good to hear that people are thinking out of the box tho...
DT; major bummer re your loss..where does it end?
Mojo sends a hi to all, hes resting comfortably, recently shed w/ a fat ~ 1 m DoR Diamondback onboard...
