Well my female Eastern laid eggs a few days ago. The good news is the mother looks great though thin with no retained eggs. That explains why she hasnt eaten for me. The bad news is the 8 eggs look infertile. I threw out the 3 smallest orange eggs. The remaining ones are plump and pebble grained. But they are all different sizes and different colors. They are all white but some have large yellow sections or yellow streaking. I am trying to incubate them as I hear some ugly eggs do hatch. This is my females first year reproducing. Now I'll try putting weight back on her and if she gets thick enough I'll try again this year. I am so happy that my female is healthy and will hopefully begin eating (tomorrow is feeding day). I doubt the eggs are good though. They look infertile. My male is an awesome specimen. Maybe I'll try a bit higher temps. My female looked a bit thin right before breeding (ok so I thought he was a she and she was a he).
Thanks,
Dan
