:If you start with a captive bred Eastern that's feeding on rodents and follow advice given on temperature and humidity you'll bond with a truly impressive Colubrid. Be sure the eye caps come off at shedding. Having kept indigos in the past and recently coming back to them another factor has made keeping them well cared for much easier. Vision cages are easy to keep clean and relatively inexpensive. The plywood days are over. I stack cages with a layer of particle board in between, not covering the vents in the back. Snake room is heated so heat cables is not an issue. Good luck, Steve Fuller
