you are best being careful not to get bit.

That being said...I don't think their bite is any worse than any other snake of comparible size. Their teeth are not as long as many snakes common in the hobby (ie, arboreal boas and pythons)

Just be careful.
You could seriously damage their teeth if they bite ane pull back, or if they latch on and you are not very careful removing them.
