Layed first eggs Saturday PM....4 nice ones...I got home Sunday PM
and used the previously mentioned technique to extract a Monster Egg!!! I'll try to fet pics with a tape beside up soon...It looks perfectly viable...?Twins?

Extracted 2 more this morning with same techniques..Looksd like 2 more left...Carl

:in fact, if it's been a few days already, or if you don't know when she dropped, find your local herp vet and get the eggs out. Between You and your vet, you might have the skills to remove the eggs without cutting. If not, do the c-section.

:A properly performed ceasarian wont affect future productivity.

:A little anecdotal side note, I've found that additional calcium and D3 seems to help prevent further egg binding events.

::No herps of any sort seen, but mission accomplished for the trip any way...

::On return, one of my Eastern girls (her first clutch!) had laid 4 good eggs and had one looking egg bound at the end of the "track"...I soaked her several times in warm baths, used warm water and glycerin solution for an enema several times and was able to easily express the stuck egg!! This morning she looks good, but still has 2 or 3 more to go and doesn't seem to be trying, so I guess I'll repeat the above process a couple of more times and hope all goes well..

::What's the longest period anyone has had of successful laying with a first time gravid female?? 2 days? 3 days? I don't want to push her if I don't need too...Carl
