Question for my friends on the DRY FORUM:

As some of you know, I also keep southern hognose...another spp whcih is in great decline in the SE. My collection of 5 animals is, sadly, one of the biggest captive collections in the world. There aren't many people working with these.

Anyways...I put my male and female together last weekend to start breeding. They were put in a 15 qt sterilite with newspaper. I looked at the male yesterday, and he had a white string attached to his vent. I pulled it out...it looked like a small string of "dried mozzarella" (wow that's graphic). He always defecated normally, and there was nothing that could have gotten stuck...is this a "sperm plug"? I have never seen a plug before, so maybe I am just stressin over nothin'.

Any ideas?
