If you want the least hassle and the least expense, look for a cptive born blacktail cribo, Drymarchon corais melanurus. This sub ranges from Mexico through central America and into S. America.
They are large, hardy snakes, usually gentle, and attractive. CB babies go for about $100-$150 ea.
