I remember seeing those pics in that book even as a young boy. I have never come across any that looked like that but I am working on a high yellow line. The scales on that particular animal resemble those that have been coming in from Guyana and I am not sure whether or not they would be compatible with what I am working with for breeding. My male is the high yellow and I have proven it genetic two years in a row. I have held back future breeders and may be able to actually market a few this year if I get lucky again. It remains to be seen what two high yellow animals will produce but 2004 I will get my first shot at it. So far my eggs have been laid within one week of eachother consecutive years and I hatch babies nearly on the same date each June(pretty weird). Double clutches were present both times with one clutch being infertile and another taking me by suprise and dehydrating. Here are a bunch of pics of Dad and various babies that I have hatched the last two seasons. Website coming soon that should answer most questions. Oh yeah, these get more yellow with age and many are retaining the orange.
