: : : When I give Godzilla a bath he actually lets me pet him all over but when I put him back in the cage and go to touch him he gets a attitude?
: : : Any ideas why he does this?
: : : Wendy
: : When Godzilla is in the tub, he is mostly concerned with being in the tub. He is not really worried about anything except getting out. Your touching him or even another Ig is secondary on his priority list.
: :
: : example: my two girls hate each other... they will attack the plexi-glass doors of each others cages if they see each other. but while in a tub of water... they get along fine. because they hate being in the water more than they hate each other.
: : and let me tell ya... Cyclura do not bluff! if they got at each other out side of the filled (a few inches) tub, I be short an Ig or two...
: :
: : So you are the lesser of the two evils to Godzilla.

: Joe,
: So what your trying to tell me is that Igs don't like water?
: From the many post I have read here I thought that Ig's liked water!
Hi Wendy,
I'm sure they do not mind the water on their own
terms. But being dropped in a tub by a giant, seems to
upset all the Igs that I have ever know.
Another example: Everytime I take my dog to the
park, first thing she wants to do is jump into the
creek.... and stay in the creek. This is the same
dog that gives me the "you're the meanest daddy in
the world" looks while I'm bathing her.
I guess no body likes to be told what to do or
where to go.... lol
The soaks are still good for you Ig, even though
he probably does nto think so......
Take care,
Joe III
