I just wanted to mention something. For those of you who have toyed with the idea of either subject above, but haven't yet, please seriously consider doing one or both. Not everyone can adopt more herps due to housing considerations. Frankly, HD and I do not have anymore room for more iguanas. HOWEVER, there are other areas where you can be of help. Our current problem with our group is getting drivers to volunteer to pick up or deliver reptiles between homes. You can also take phone calls for a rescue group. Volunteer to update the group's website. You can help with the PR end of it. Contact local pet stores or malls etc. and ask if you and/or the rescue group can set up a display (with or without animals). Help write letters/flyers for various things (discounted vet care, caresheets, etc.). HD drew our logo for our group. The list is endless. So, my point of the rambling message is, you do not necessiarly have to take in reptiles. Just donate your time. Whew! Enough said.
