: At what age do iguanas reach sexual maturity?
I think it could be anywhere between two and four years, depending on diet, UV exposure, exposure to other iggs, etc. Louie is three and has not become gravid yet (yes, a female with a male's name)but I'm waiting for the day!
Males will reach sexual maturity much faster when exposed to adult females but this is just experimental evidence so I don't recommend placing an adult female to see if it will work. Every igg is different and there's no set time for maturity, just like in people (like me,hee hee).
