I've been busy trying combat this mite thing. Poor Tak is soooo mad at me right now. I put her in a 20 gallon tank with barely nothing for the time being, until I'm sure all the mites are gone. Her beatiful home was ripped apart, and everything except the frame and cover was trashed. It would have been practically impossible to bleach most of the stuff. Oh well her next home will be much better, and in the planning I will take into consideration easy disinfection in the case I have to do this again (*fingers crossed I won't have to). I think I will try the NIX thing. I've been inspecting her at night, but I haven't seen any more mites on her, but I'm not making any assumptions. I just hope everything gets taken care of soon so that she can move out of her temperary home.
So do I have to worry about her getting more mites being loose in our house? Do I need to fumigate our house?
