A life.....now what was that again??
Actually, I've had quite an iggy weekend....(since you wanted something to read).
I went to my sister's house and found that her step son had aquired 2 (count em) 2 iguanas. He is only with her family every other weekend, and BTW, he's about 12 years old.
This really sorta worried me, cuz he got a male & a female, BUT...he and his dad were both very receptive to all my advice...even tho my other sister (get's complicated, don't it?) has (had) an ig named Goliath (who started this whole iggy business), fed said Goliath any kind of veggies, and even let him eat out of the cat's dish, cuz they thought it was cute to see ig & cat eating together.
To make a long story shorter, I'm gonna E-mail his dad all that I have learned here, and keep checking up on the kid. I'm gonna do my ultimate best to convince him to keep the two igs seperated.....don't parents know what they do to kids when they give them iguanas??? (or rather, what they do to iguanas when they give them to kids!)
Then....(remember HD..you asked for something to read...) The next day we were passing thru this little town on it's founder's day. They were having a big flea market, and we saw some parakeets....(crazy as this sounds, we are thinking of getting my daughter a bird to replace Daisy the bunny, since the house bunny thing didn't work too well),
Well, we started talking pets, and of course Cleo comes up in conversation (I really should have saved this for the chat room, huh?!)any way, this lady had bought an ig for her (get this) 4 year old grandson.
But hey, I got to give them a run down on proper ig diet and heating/lighting, etc. So it's been a productive weekend. I'm thinking that the 4 year old is not the primary caretaker of this baby ig..boy I hope not! But they were pet people, and they were happy for the advice.
Now, gosh, I gotta run over to the bird Bulletin board, and see what all is involved with bringing a bird into the house. (another life form to learn to care for)
PS: also took kids to see Star Wars.
so there...to all of you who think I have no life, and Ig03....wanna chat tonight??
:o)
