Could very well be. Is it flat , like the scales look "fuzzy" or like velvet or something...in irregular shaped patches? That more than likely is a fungal infection...how do you treat it? Any antifungal *ointment*...like Tolfanate, Micozonale Nitrate, Desenex...when? Twice a day early am and late at night when iggy is just waking up or tired and sleepy and more apt to keep the ointment on It will take a while for the scales to heal. Why do Igs get fungal infections? sometimes poor husbandry, sitting on/against old food, or constantly laying in one place like a plastic waterproof side of the tank , unclean cage ,too humid in their tank, lots of things!. May want to do an archive search here and see what others had to say in the past about it. ok? Also if your not sure Id definately take your ig to the vet...just to be on the safe side.
Good luck
Gina
