Giving Ensure mixed with a little pureed banana and maybe some pedilyte was recently recommended by Melissa Kaplan on the Iguana Mailing List (IML) for helping sick igs.

I would not suggest forcing food down it's throat. But it may be easier to get a medicine suringe (sp) the kind you use to give meds to a baby. It is easy to control how much you give and will be easier to get the small tip into the iglets mouth to put a little on the tongue.
