HD I read your post
:I can tell you this....I will probably use it this summer to build Lola and Harry's cage outside. I'm thinking of designs for disconnecting certain joints on cage for break down in the fall, for storage. Meaning some connections wouldn't be glued at all, but have some kind of removable pin holding them.
I just bulit a pvc cage I doubt you will even need to glue it together. The pvc tubes fit very tightly in the connecters. I had to use alot of force to get them in all the way. To disconnect them I had to use twice as much force. What I would recommend is is buy everything you need and fit it all together and see if you want to glue it or not before you buy the glue. One improvement I made over any other pvc cage I have seen is I used metal hinges. The hinges are on an outside corner so the bolts that hold the front to the side go through the hinges. Then the door is held on with bolts that are shorter. What I really liked about pvc is it is very easy to fix mistakes. I made serval, in fact, at the very end I made a huge mistake, I put the backwall on backwards so I couldn't put a shelf in it like I had planned. To fix it I had to buy a $0.14 coupler, all my other mistakes I fixed w/o any cost. OPPS I got carried away, I was supposed to tell you about the glue thing then stop. What can I say I like cages.
