Hello! My b/f and I would like to adopt an iguana in the near
future and I have a substrate question. I have been doing a lot
of reading and on Melissa's page she says to use towels or astro-
turf. I've read and understand not to use bark or carefresh or
what-not because the ig will ingest it and it will cause impaction
problems. We were at a reptile show and saw calcisand. Says it
is calcium and so if injested can be broken down and used... Would
this be suitable? What do you guys think? What about newspaper?
Repti-sand would cause impactions right (like playground sand?)??
Thanks for any help and I'm sure I'll be back asking more questions
later! =) -April
