Hi Alta, glad you are starting to get a little better about your feelings. The cage set-up sounds nice. Most igs like to climb and bask while they're high on a perch so it sounds like that's what you had set up.The floor was alright,we use indoor outdoor carpet in Cirsis's but she's a free roamer so she only sleeps in her cage and it's pretty small almost like a hide box. It's 4x4x6ft with a hide box and perch, basking spot. She feels snug in it to sleep. You can use newspapers or carpet on the bottom of the cage on maybe half of the bottom. With carpet, you have to watch the kids claws to make sure they don't pick up any fibers to choke the circulation of their claws.Hope this helps alittle.
Red double hibiscus to you
