well, I probably shouldn't get in the middle of this....but.........I have to agree with both of you guys! I know that our Igs have each got a different unique personality, and they all show different types of emotion, and the NEED for affection on occasion. Darwin, for example, let's us know if he wants us to bother him, by doing things like petting his head, or rubbing his neck and spikes, and even his dewlap, by the way that he closes his eyes. Sometimes he will close his eyes very quickly, and move his head away from us.........this is an attempt to be left alone. Sometimes....he will close his eyes very slowly....and peek open every once in a while. I believe that this is an indication that he likes it. Often times, when we pet him and what not....he will push his body or head into our hand or arm very firmly. Other times, when two of our igs get a glimpse of eachother, the one closest to us, will run over to us and practically DEMAND our attention by pushing it's head into our hand, or it's body, as if to say to the other ig, "ha ha, I got their attention...not you!". I can not give any clinical evidence that they actually like it and that is the reason why they close their eyes at times......but I do believe in what I see. Plese bear in mind that this post is not intended in any way to challenge anybody elses opinion, but merely to express mine.
