A ? was raised last year re bearded dragons and whether or not fireflies were toxic. A vet answered and said they were. They are most definitely toxic to bearded dragons and it's highly possible that they are toxic to certain kinds of chameleons. Thought I'd pass this info on because I know a lot of us have reptiles other than iggies...(yes,Thunder and Lightning, I know you're better than the others but I do have other babies that I love just as much as I do you two!) Because they are so highly toxic to dragons, I'd be careful about letting an ig grab one when outside at twilight. Here's the link:
