Visit the site that kitty gave you. To get you thru the next few days while you are reading....you need to buy some fresh greens (mustard greens, collard greens) clean them and then tear or cut them up into pieces no larger than the iguana's head. Mix in to this grated zucchini or squash (any variety)to help add moisture to it. You may add other vegetables to this such as corn, sweet peas, carrots...if you buy them canned get the kind that says no salt added and rinse them any way. If you buy them frozen, check the label for added salt (don't want that if you can help it). The EASIEST thing to do if you have it at your grocery store is to buy the "Fresh Express" bagged salad greens. The one called "Field Greens" is a good one to use but cut or tear the pieces into bite size and add mustard or collard greens to this to boost the calcium level of the food. Avoid using iceberg lettuce. Don't use cat or dog food. Think salad :)

Don't want to confuse you right now with the do's and don'ts and the whys of the different aspects of the iguana diet. This info will get you thru while you are researching and baby won't starve :o)

Get his lighting/heating set up ASAP It is very important to his well-being. You might want to go there first in your research. There are other online care sheets for them, too. I'll give you another one that we reference a lot.

Good luck with the baby; glad you came into his life and came to the forum to share with us oldtimers here.
