Having just experienced this myself, Here's my advice...look in the closest tree to where he excaped from.
He is probably not far away, but he may have gone high. Don't dispair. More than likely he got up high before any other critter noticed him.
If you can, try to get binoculars. He will come out where you can see him when the sun is out. At least that's what happened with Cleo.
The main thing is, he probably climbed the first tree that he encountered.
I hope this helps. I put food & a heat lamp out for Cleo to, but she was not about to give up her tree limb, for anything. I don't know if she would have come down to eat or not.
But anything is worth a try...My thoughts and prayers are with you...and I know how you feel.
I suppose all igs may be different, but maybe this will help!
