As for outdoor wire...go with galvanized wire way cheaper than vinyl coated. Vinyl coated is NO safer than galvanized hardware cloth...an iguana can STILL rip his claws out or get nasty rostral abrasions on vinyl coated (been there done that!)
you may want to use bigger gauge like 22 gauge with 1x2 inch squares. Check out Jen Swoffords outdoor cage page for some ideas. My igs did try digging out of the patio fencing so I had to line the inside perimeter of it with a couple inches of concrete which discouraged that nonsense! As for the pond...I'd ixnay that unless you have a way of cleaning it out on an almost daily basis.
Its an open invitation for the igs to poop in it! I have a couple of huge mortars troughs ($5 at home depot)I fill half way each morning and empty out when soiled. If that fig tree is free standing...why not encircle it with say 4ft high plywood (keep igs nail trimmed!) like a pen and let em hang out in tree for shade, sun and a snack!)
