And guess what? She likes me again!
I picked up Cleo to take her for a soak in the tub (we're having a little trouble with her tail shed not wanting to come off)
and she just settled down on my shoulder like old times! She looked at my as if to say, "Hey... I remember you...where are you gonna take me today?"
Anyway... I was really doubting that she'd ever be back to her old self again. I know you all said she would come around, but facing her cold shoulder everyday was making me blue!
Maybe that's why I pondered the thought of another baby iggy. I didn't get one last night...tho I saw for myself a pet shop that was not taking care of their igs very well. They had no heat lamp, I'd say there were about 20 or more in this
maybe 20gal. tank... maybe smaller. They were all piled up on top of each other, for warmth, I guess. There was a little dead baby still in the tank...the live ones had poop on them. I was shocked. This cold feeling just sorta settled over me.
I couldn't buy one, and reward this place with my cash. It was close to closing time, there was nobody on the floor to help us, and the 2 cashiers were to busy chatting to get their attention. I just walked out. Chicken of me, I know... but I was just so numbed by it.
I think I'll call them today & complain tho. They were actually taking better care of their other lizards, tho. It seemed the level of care went up with their price level. :o(
I almost asked Kevin for a baby Savannah Monitor... but with the BDs coming, I just thought the best thing to do would be to wait.
I will definately be at the chat tonight! It's here, right?
I'm going to take Cleo outside now, now that we're buddies again!
