I went to the Zoo Med website maker of the Iguana Light. Zoo Med makes three "different" bulbs; the Reptisun 2.0, the Reptisun 5.0, and the Iguana Light 5.0. The Iguana Light and Reptisun 5.0 are the same light. If you go to the Zoo Med website you see them listed and described together. The differ from the Reptisun 2.0 in providing more UVB light.

The couple of online sites I checked had them listed for the same price. But it wouldn't surprise me if places were selling them at different prices.

BTW, I reviewed the articles on lighting at MK's site and they mention changing the bulb every six months to a year. Zoo Med says there Reptisun 5.0 and Iguana Light are good for a minimum of a year but should be replaced every year to year and a half.

I am going to go back to MK's site and visit some others because the intial impression I got from her site is that she is unsure whether or not iguanas actually require the higher UVB provided by the Reptisun and Iguana lights. I am curious because the Reptisun 2.0 is normally priced considerably less than the other two.

As always if anyone knows something I don't please speak up.

Thanks,
Kayo
(I still feel like I am stumbling around in the dark!)
