try to give him some "free-roaming" time every day ... (free from his cage but supervised by you!) ... this *will* be tricky since he's not very calm/trusting of you yet, but i really do believe it would reduce alot of shemp's stress ...
if nothing else, bathrooms can usually be made relatively ig-safe ... use a couple of big safety pins to secure bath towels to their rack and he'll have somthing to climb on ... remove *everything* that he could possibly knock down or over ... *COVER* the mirror!!!! (iZ *hates* the bad ugly thing that lives in them!) ... and let him stretch his muscles and burn off some anxiety and aggression! *grin* ...
