I'm kaving a similar problem with Ziggy, who's about 6-8 months old. He eats sporadically. I haven't had him checked out but will once I find a vet who knows reptiles. I am considering stress as a possibility. I put some silk plants in his cage, which is fairly large, but it is a change. Also, I am handling him a bit more frequently. I'll let you know how it turns out.
