: Ok, I know ig's change hues/shades every so often. My ig is in a 65 gal. enclosure, with adequate heat, water, food, and hiding spots. (He's only about a foot and 1/2 long.) I got him out a minute ago, (he was in his hiding spot,) and he was almost black. No kidding! I was told that darker shades mean the iguana is happy, but he was almost black! What's going on?
I always thought darker shades mean stress? That's true with my iguana, anyway.
If he was hiding, he might've been a little stressed out. Is he still dark, or did he go back to his normal "anti-freeze green" a little while later? My iguana hates it when I grab him out of his hiding spot.
