Hi CJ...yep good idea to have a big water bowl...especially if you don't have a humidifier in the cage. Use like a cat litter box..Ig will like to sit in it, & s*** in it too. Clean it out daily. Great for upping the humidity...the higher the heat the greater humidity, with bigger water bowl. Igs need 60-100% humidity every day for 3 hrs at least .Without humidity they will get terribly sick (I type from experience) They are tropical! Also they will drink from it too. They need 3-4 tablespoons of water daily...true they get some from food but not that much. Need less if you spray their salad with water before feeding). Dehydration in igs is another very common sympton of major problems to come (I type with experience)
