From the things I have read, Iguanas can monitor they salt levels. That's what that yucky stuff is when they blow it out......which I tell Sue, is snot!! LOL If you feed them alot of salty stuff......your iguana will be blowing alot of....forgive me.....SNOT. When Harry came to us, he was blowing alot of salt. Now days once in awhile he will. We are now trying to figure out what veggies are causing this. Not because we are worried, but it would be nice to know which one or ones are making him blow. We figure that the cheese he was being fed from the old owners, had alot of salt in it. Making Harry's system get overloaded with salt plus since he was dehydrated on top of that. Once we got fluids into him, he started making a mess with all that salt. And let me tell you,....I learned to stay clear of him! It was gross getting that sprayed on ya. YUCK
