In Reply to: Heres a good one boys and girls! Read this...How do those of you with more than 3 herps allocate time with them? posted by Martin on May 11, 1999 at 16:32:54:
: I have three pets. All were purchased in time period of about a year apart so that I could dedicate time for each herp. How do you guys/ gals distribute time with your pets? I am very curious about time management skills with pets of other herpers. I know i want to buy an Rhino iggy but do i realistically have time to spend with a possible new acquisition and still engage with my present population. Hmmmm. I love this hobby but I am caught in the dilemma of reality versus wide-eyed enthusiasm. Even though i have have the space and the funds, will i degrade quality time with one pet or another to increase my herp appetite. Oh the agony!! I am not the first to ponder this. Help. I know some of you share my zeal and conscious reality.
: Seriously do we really think before we purchase another pet or do we submit to temptation (Just another one..) I am holding out. Looking forward to many cerebral responses.

I'll have to admit spending quality time with 3 herps isn't all that easy. I should know I have 5, and I'm a college student and I work a full time job. I still find time to spend with my herps, somedays it's not a smuch as others. I make it a rule to spend at least 2 hours everyday with them, more when I can. I found that the best time to do this is at feeding time. I take all of my herps out of their cages and hand feed them, pet them, take em outside if it's nice, if not I let them wonder around the room. until I have to leave.
