: Just wanted to say, another way to find out "how" serious a child is about taking care of a iguana, is to have them follow the routine every day. Have the child prepare the salad, meaning cutting it up and mixing it. Hillary ( our child ) lasted oh...about a week with this torture, she couldn't deal with it. Cutting up green beans took her about 3 hours. LOL She'd cut a few and then be thinkin of some story to come up with to get out of cutting the rest up. Oh course, in the long end of the story......she won; Lola is now our responsibility. We, as Sue said, do it all, other then Lola's pooping times. If Sue and I would take a trip somewhere and Hillary stayed home, we'd find someone to take care of Lola and Harry because we would want to come home to "LIVING" iguana's not dead ones. And Hillary of course would say something like: Geeeez soooorrrry, I forgot about them. LOL So we know just how much care Hillary can give to them...... about 5 minutes!!!

Hillary needs chopping practice! My mom scratches her head in wonder when she sees me downstairs at 6:00 in the morning, half awake and chopping up greens at record speed. Most people say I'm the only person they know who can shred up veggies and greens while in "auto-pilot" mode!
