It is true that iguanas can become aggressive. Especially males in mating season. There are so many variables though... I got to see an aggressive male iguana last year. I think part of the aggression was because his cage was too small. Other factors might be a poor diet, another iguana in the house, an iguana seeing his own reflection... I think my iguanas are the sweetest things, but I am still aware that they may become irritated. I just take care if the iguana seems defensive or a bit out of character.
