you don't...not until he/she winds up with some progessive disease...and it shows up in their blood work, constipation or pooping irregularly(every other day or three days in my males case sometimes) Bathing helps hydrate them so if you bathe your ig regularly thats one step in the right direction as water is absorbed through the cloaca. Igs need 15-20 ml of water per day...that's 3-4 tablespoons. less if they are feeding, water is sprayed on their food. Making sure they get DAILY water is important.Do NOT expect them to drink on their own...they're stupid! lol just kiddin..like humans...when's the last time you dranks 8-10 glasses of water a day?hmmm? Me about two years ago! lol Use a syringe get one at the pharmacy tell em you have to give your toddler liquid whatever & need a syringe. Theyre w/o needle only the hub and are calibrated. Water is essential (needed daily) high calcium high fiber diet foremost, uvb a close second, heat & humidity right alongside water as far as importance...or is it pooping first & foremost? lol
Good luck to ya
