prior to the new modem installation, our sound card was IRQ5, windows has reassigned it to IRQ 10. windows doesn't seem to have a problem with anything, but the bios does. i have to reinstall dos and run MSD at the dos prompt to see what IRQ conflicts come up. HD gave me a suggustion we are going to try first, which just may solve the problem.
