Also if you notice two bumps starting to form on the top of their heads behind their eyes, chances are it's a male. Males will get these "bumps" as young as 1 1/2 years old. Harry's got them and he also has a large scale on the lower jaw too. It sticks out farther then our females and it large in size. I would say that the two items plus the Femoral pores are the best ways of checking sex.
And I might add, don't let anyone tell you females are better to have then males, they both had hard times during the year!!!
