Well thank goodness you don't have a quadrillion iguanas like some folks around here! Otherwise I'd send ya straight over to the Iguanaden to buy that nail meltor tool! Yeah a human or dog clipper works just fine...the very very tip please.All cutting too much will do is make it bleed horrifically and it will take time to heal.
plus your Ig will have a super tuff time climbing and fall and get soft tissue trauma and limp for months on end. As you can tell Im not a big advocate of trimming an iguanas claws....Even tho my male has NO front claws (I used to trim them he STILL would got them caught even in and ripped em out!)
I say the best protection from scratches to your wrists and forearms is gloves and long sleeves or tube socks cut off on one end work great...leave some hooked up or near the cage so youre always prepared.Anyway try Iguanaden...not for the meltors tool but for a good pic of iguanas nails ok. This guy Adam Britton from Aussieland...has a good site on it too but don't know the addy off hand. Might want to do a web search on Adam Britton.
