Joe III came by yesterday, bearing two very skinny, scrawny, bony, but sweet green igs. We'll be measuring them today, and I'll post about them a little later...but, we figured we should tell you all that we have two "project" igs...More to fatten up and love! we think all they need is the right foods, and regular baths, and I've got some pedialyte...I'm going to spray thier food with it, rather than syringing it...they seem a bit stressed as it is, and we don't want to stress them out further. Although, the little one (the female) was eating last night, so that's definately encouraging. The male has a bit of a nose problem...it seems to get ahead of him when he rushes the walls! sigh...but here goes.
They've taken over Darwin's closet enclosure while were in the process of building the "ig room", but now he's got a basking station set up with his food and lights, and the whole bedroom to himself when he's not free-roaming through the rest of the house. He seemed a little irritated with us at first, but he's forgiven us, we think! He's a very tolerant guy. *Good Ig!* Anyways...just thought that we'd let you know, and we do have a good herp vet just in case.
On another note, he also brought over Kali, his female rhino ig! *WOW!!!* She's gorgeous! and so very sweet! We were VERY impresed. and, apparently, she's just a young-un! If you all ever have the opportunity to have a rhino ig docily sit on your front lawn and have a look around, take it! Your neighbors will never look at you the same again! LOL!
Anyways...here's your chance to ream us for having 6 igs. Please be gentle!
