Cirsisue...no need to worry yourself. Its just Im trying to "control" everything as far as Juana & her lil problem. There's always been issues regarding free roamers and higher incidents of illnes, disease, and injury. Maybe this is why Juana is getting sick I don't know...but at least if I cage her I can be sure she is getting the optimum temperature and the optimum humidity..I thought I was giving her the optimum diet so I tend to think that's not the problem..Melissa has helped me regarding some of these external issues...so Im trying to get a handle on them *now*. Juana sits up on our wall unit I don't think it gets very humid up there(didn't think of putting a gage up there...duh! lol)they need 60-100%humidity about three hours per day Ive been reading. Most people keep their iguanas in the below 60% range, maybe that's why they get sick..I don't know She has her uvb & basking spotlamp (afixed to ceiling pointing down) stays 90 deg. hot end then maybe 78 cool end.Another thing is she doesn't get alot of excercise maybe that has something to do with it I don't know.Gonna do a recheck on Thursday will call the vet & see if I should feed her or not. There are so many issues with Iguanas...let me tell ya...just like kids...when they get sick ..parents get serious right. It can't all be fun & games & poop stories
dog gone it! :-) Is the sky falling too?
Gina the wet blanket!
