Thanks, Gina. (By the way - thanks for directing me to these Kingsnake forums on the newsgroup. This one and the turtle ones are really great). Anyways, Max was actually leaping off his branches and bashing the glass. At one point he was half way up on his perch, bobbed his head several times, then actually leapt right across the aquarium at the glass, which is when we really started to worry. It was mainly the one end that he was going crazy at. Now I have hung a sheet along the inside and he has settled down. But today he is almost the reverse - he has laid down on the floor all last night and today right beside his food dish (on the opposite end of the tank). From here he can see us. The only time all day that he went up any of his branches was when I reached in to take him for a bath (he is shedding on his head and it needed moistening). Usually when I put his blanket over the one end (it is still cold at nights up here in Canada) he crawls right up into his hammock and goes right to sleep. Tonight he is still on his tummy on the floor. But he did eat today so I won't worry about him just yet. I am hoping he is still resting from his stressful day yesterday. I'll go to Petland tomorrow and see if I can get a nice desert landscape wallpaper for him. Thanks again.
Linda
