*grin* I typed that all out :) heeeee!!!!! No biggie, happy to provide the info :)
I bought Mader's book for 100 buckies at the IRBA show in Costa Mesa from Bean Farm (http://www.beanfarm.com) THere's another source called Nexus Books (used books), based back east, which I had ordered a copy for 80 something buckies. It's a great reference book.
Though that particular excerpt from Mader's book (btw, the author for that section was Terry W. Campbell "Clinical Pathology") specifies levels, they are generalized for herps. I just looked in the back of the book (duh...shoulda before), and the range of 'normal' values listed for the given sample of iguanas (iguana iguana) is 1.5-6.0. I'd have to look thru Vega$' multitudes of bloods to see what her levels are. I have to take Vega$ in for a recheck on her panels to make certain that she has indeed fully recovered; and I can ask Dr. R. re: uric acid levels. Though panels are great diagnostic tools, they aren't 100% error free. As an example, WBC can appear elevated if the iguana happens to be stressed at the time of the sample being taken. IMO, it wouldn't hurt to have another sample run a short time later, to see if the levels are stable or if the sampling before was screwed up.
