I even have a bearded dragon that waits..sits and waits until I have just thoroughly cleaned his tank and replaced the substrate with nice, clean Carefresh. Then I give him a warm bath and get the stench off of him and put him back in his cleanweenie home....he scratches up a pile of substrate behind him baring the glass and poops like there's no tomorrow! Then looks at me like "Ha!"
The iguanas are nastier to each other than they are to us. LOL Already told the story of screentop pooping causing the one in their tank to receive ummmm "a shower." They also like to make nice loud ones when we sit down to eat. Their enclosures are on either side of the dining room with the table in between. Finally figured out what they were doing....making room for food! They want to eat when we do. As long as they get a little salad while we're eating their well-behaved. But I've also noticed that no matter what, no matter how many times they may have already pooped that day ALL it takes is for my in-laws to come down for a visit and come over here for a meal. My mother-in-law cannot stand reptiles. So, naturally, when she sits down at our table the farting and pooping begins! Sometimes they'll even treat everyone to a burp! Ever hear an iguana burp?
When they're not ready to go back "home" they become like what I called my children when little "the amazing unbendable body." Parents out there know what I'm talking about...the child who gets stiff-legged and bodied when trying to either put in a shopping cart/stroller OR remove from same.
Yes, I believe you!
