Meggy travels in my car on the back ledge. I put newspapers down and the sun shines in. She loves it and stays warm. But the warning about it getting too hot in the car is important. If you see Petie panting, it's too hot! In the winter she travels inside my coat (I'm in PA). Sorry about your grandma. Hope your trip is successful.
