Give the lil guy some time to acclimate itself not too much handling either in the next two weeks. Lettuce & carrots are NOT good iguana foods. Lettuce has little nurtitional value and carrots are high in oxalates(calcium fighters).Eating "calcium rich" foods keep an iguana healthy. An iguanas diet is of utmost importance for its survival, once you learn the few basic principals the sky is the limit as far as what kinds of foods they can eat. Cuz he's such a lil guy he'll need his food chopped up very finely. Measure his food at first.youll be able to better keep track of his eating.Provide a hidebox, cover outside of his tank (some igs like a little privacy when eating !)Pond water is NOT safe for an iguana. His water should be replaced as dirty or daily if not bacteria is sure to flourish. He'll also need a calcium supplement. Crushed centrum tab is good for starters maybe 4 times a week sprinkle on food, good UVB lighting, unfiltered direct sunlight. Temps in his tank around (cool)85-95(basking spot)Temps and lighting equally important if an iguana is going to live because they need it to digest their food! Humidity 60-80%.
