I just meant to keep the plants far enough away from the heat source so that the chance of melting or catching fire is less likely. If you have worries about your plants use a thermometer and test some leaves. I'd say a safe temp would be nothing above 95 degrees. Also when you are checking remember to wear gloves or something heavy like that, so your body temp doesn't mess with the thermometer reading.
And........relax!! I am sure you're doing fine.....Take time to enjoy your child......and not to worry night and day!! LOL
