: What size tank does an ADULT ig need? How much will it eat?? Do they make good pets? What other things do they need? Is their anything else I should know Before I get an Ig?? Thanks Ladd
Sue and I have had igs for almost 10 years. Unless you have unlimited patience, a very large enclosure, and a tolerance that would try Mother Theresa, try another lizard. We are firmly convinced that if igs were $200+ , a great deal of people would not attempt keeping them. Their moods are mercurial, they cop attitudes for no discernable reasons,(at least to us!)If you are willing to put in the time and go in to the deal knowing what you are faced with, congrats! They are worth the trouble. Just know ahead of time that igs are very high maintainance critters!
