Many tamed female igs out there looking for a home! Check Melissa Kaplan's site for info on iguana rescues or contact your local humane society for a current list of local to you rescues. The big trade off with female igs is that they are besieged with egg-laying problems which can cause serious illness or death if not promptly attended to by a vet. Yeah I hear you about male igs...but some mature male ig adoptees are very tame and do not show the breeding season crazies some others do! Give an adoptee a chance!
