baths + growth spurts (rambling post)

well! iZ *seems* to have discovered the joys of soaking in a nice warm tub ... *finally*! hubby looked in on us and quickly walked back out of the room, shoulders shaking with laughter ... hhhumph!

i pre-warm the tub and then plug the drain ... we have/had a hand held shower, i unscrewed the shower head part cuz iZ doesn't like the hissing noise it makes (and the puppy chewed the shower head up!) ... so now i have an iZ-hose that quietly runs warm water the whole time he's in the tub to keep him warm ... a while back, i started puttng a wet washcloth over his back cuz historically, he doesn't like baths and won't let the water get deep enough to soak his sides ...

so, now, iZ is in the tub with his superman cape on and i'm sitting on a crate next to him (claw-foot tub - high sides!) holding the shower hose on him to keep him warm and keep the washcloth wet cuz he's shedding ... in walks hubby and just *cracks-up* ... of all the nerve!

iZ will now soak in the tub for 30-40 minutes at a time! not every night, but a couple times a week ... of course, i have to be his personnal bath attendant the entire time ...! my hands look like i have leperosy by the time we're done! it's soooo funny! i'm glad he's finally figuring out that soaking is good to get rid of the "itchies" ...

then! we had *another* kitchen floor picnic! thankfully, not *quite* as enthusiastically as last nite tho! the kid has been shedding almost constantly for the last 2 months and now with these massive eating frenzies ...!!!! i thought he was gonna slow down on the growing thing a bit ... not yet i guess ...

then, after using the sleeping-in-the-middle-of-the-floor-puppy as a speed bump, he went back up to his livingroom basking spot and i think has passed out .... heheheh ...

iZ is getting a very attractive little pot-belly going! he amazes me every time i think of how scrawny and sick he was when he moved in ... i'm so glad i found MK, et al. when i did and i'm glad i found this board 2 yrs ago too! and who else would let me not only tell baby dragon stories, but appreciate them too! ah, those silly co-workers of mine don't know what they're missing! *grin*
